The Schmalz blocksuction cup VCBL-N 130x30x132mm 30/40 TV is the narrow version of the VCBL-N series for nesting table and grid table machines — with the unique geometry 130 × 30 mm, suction cup height 132 mm, vacuum channel connection 30/40 and integrated touch valve (TV).

The extremely narrow design of just 30 mm width with 130 mm length enables use at tight grid positions where wider blocksuction cups do not fit — between closely spaced suction positions, near workpiece edges or in grid table configurations with limited spacing between the vacuum channels. Despite the slim design, the 132 mm high suction cup offers maximum height for thick boards and solid wood.

When is the 130x30mm narrow form the right choice?

  • Tight grid positions: Where the distance between two vacuum channels or neighbouring suction cups is too small for wider blocksuction cups — the 30 mm width enables use even in the tightest positions
  • Near workpiece edges: The narrow design allows clamping close to the workpiece edge without the suction cup protruding into the machining area
  • Supplement to wider suction cups: As a specialist suction cup for individual positions on the grid table where standard variants do not fit, combined with 120×50mm or 125×75mm suction cups
  • Thick boards and solid wood: The 132 mm suction cup height bridges large gaps between the grid table and the underside of the workpiece despite the slim design

Schmalz Vacuum Technology for Nesting Table Systems

As a leading manufacturer in the field of clamping technology, Schmalz has developed a wide range of block vacuum cups specially for machines with nesting tables. These vacuum cups are designed for CNC machining centres with nesting and grid tables. Suitable for simple 3-axis machining as well as complex 5-axis machining thanks to a broad range of working heights from 32 to 132 mm. 

Use on grid tables

Vacuum blocks of the VCBL-N and VCBL-G-K1 series have also been specially developed for use on grid tables. For this, the friction clip must be removed. It can then be used for all common grid geometries (grid spacing 30 and 40 mm, groove widths 6 to 7.5 mm, groove depths 6 to 7 mm).
