The Schmalz block suction cup VCBL-N 120x50x52mm 30/40 TV is the medium-height variant in the VCBL-N series — specially developed for nesting table and grid table machines with vacuum channel connection 30/40, with integrated push valve (TV).

With a suction cup height of 52 mm, this block suction cup covers the universal application range in nesting operations — greater clearance than the flat 32 mm version, more compact than the 132 mm high version. Ideal for medium panel thicknesses, workpieces with light profiling, and as flexible standard equipment on the grid table. The push valve activates the vacuum automatically when the workpiece is placed.

When is the 52 mm version the right choice?

  • Medium panel thicknesses: When the flat 32 mm version is not sufficient, but the 132 mm high version would be too large — the 52 mm height covers the universal standard range
  • Workpieces with light profiling: The greater overall height creates the necessary clearance to the machining surface without taking up unnecessarily much height
  • Universal basic equipment: The 52 mm version is the most commonly used medium height in the VCBL-N series — ideal as flexible standard equipment on the grid table
  • Direct replacement: A precise alternative for existing VCBL-N suction cups at 52 mm height — no modification of the table configuration required

Schmalz Vacuum Technology for Nesting Table Systems

As a leading manufacturer in the field of clamping technology, Schmalz has developed a wide range of block vacuum cups specially for machines with nesting tables. These vacuum cups are designed for CNC machining centres with nesting and grid tables. Suitable for simple 3-axis machining as well as complex 5-axis machining thanks to a broad range of working heights from 32 to 132 mm. 

Use on grid tables

Vacuum blocks of the VCBL-N and VCBL-G-K1 series have also been specially developed for use on grid tables. For this, the friction clip must be removed. It can then be used for all common grid geometries (grid spacing 30 and 40 mm, groove widths 6 to 7.5 mm, groove depths 6 to 7 mm).
