Schmalz Friction Plate ZUB VCBL-R
The Schmalz Friction Plate ZUB VCBL-R is the matching accessory for VCBL-R and VCBL-N vacuum blocks when used on sacrificial boards in nesting applications — the friction lining plate increases the holding force of the vacuum block on the sacrificial board through frictional engagement and prevents the workpiece from slipping sideways during milling and drilling. Without a vacuum seal — but with structured friction lining — the friction plate provides additional mechanical support between the vacuum block and sacrificial board. Particularly valuable for workpieces with a small contact area, high lateral forces or porous material that does not build up sufficient vacuum. More grip on the sacrificial board — the indispensable accessory for VCBL-N and VCBL-R. Technical data Feature Value Article number: GS10011205581 Type: ZUB VCBL-R (friction plate accessory) Function: Friction lining plate — increases holding force on sacrificial boards through frictional engagement Compatible vacuum blocks: VCBL-R and VCBL-N (all variants) Application area: Nesting and grid-table machining on sacrificial boards Schmalz article number: 10.01.12.05581 Manufacturer: J. Schmalz GmbH Contents: 1 piece Suitable for all VCBL-N vacuum blocks The friction plate is compatible with all VCBL-N variants in the range: VCBL-N 120×50 VCBL-N 125×75 VCBL-N 130×30 VCBL-N 145×145 VCBL-R Not sure whether the friction plate fits your vacuum block? Our technicians will be happy to help — simply have the vacuum block type ready. What does the friction plate do? Increased frictional engagement on the sacrificial board: The structured friction lining creates mechanical grip between the vacuum block and sacrificial board — in addition to the vacuum holding force Prevents sideways slipping: Particularly with high feed rates, strong milling forces or lateral loads, the friction plate keeps the suction block securely in position Ideal for porous material: When sacrificial boards made from porous MDF or recycled material do not build up sufficient vacuum between the suction block and the board, the friction plate compensates for the loss of grip Protects the sacrificial board: Prevents the frame of the vacuum block from cutting into or indenting the surface of the sacrificial board Easy replacement: Wear part — replace simply when there is visible abrasion or reducing holding force When is the friction plate necessary? High lateral forces during milling: With aggressive milling parameters, large cutter diameters or hard materials that place lateral loads on the vacuum block Porous or suctioning sacrificial boards: MDF sacrificial boards that "draw" vacuum and thereby reduce the holding force of the vacuum block Small workpieces with little contact area: When vacuum holding force alone is not sufficient to hold the workpiece securely Reducing holding force despite an intact vacuum system: If the suction block starts to "slip" on the sacrificial board — replace the friction plate Why buy from Glade CNC? Original Schmalz accessory — precise fit for all VCBL-N and VCBL-R vacuum blocks, not a no-name replacement Nesting expertise — we know the practical use of sacrificial boards and grid-table systems Fast shipping within the EU — delivery time 1–3 working days, so your production is interrupted no longer than necessary Immediately available — available from stock Monday-free guarantee — tested goods, no surprises Note: Not sure whether the friction plate is the right accessory for your application, or do you need replacement suction plates for your VCBL-N vacuum blocks? Call us: 05232 850 749 1 Mon–Thu 9–5 pm, Fri 9–2 pm — we’ll help you put together the full accessory package for your nesting system.

Select grid table systems to suit the application

In the grid table systems category, you will find vacuum blocks and clamping solutions for CNC grid tables. The selection is not based solely on the product description: what matters is that the tool, spare part or operating equipment is technically compatible with the existing machine and the planned machining step. The range currently comprises 9 assigned items. These include, for example, Schmalz Blocksauger VCBL-R 145x145x25mm 30/40 TV, Schmalz Blocksauger VCBL-R 145x145x90mm 30/40 TV, Schmalz Blocksauger VCBL-R 145x145x90mm 30/40 AS+TV.

What matters with grid table systems?

Before ordering, check in particular the grid spacing, overall height, dimensions, connection, tactile valve and required holding force. For spare and wear parts, the machine designation, year of manufacture, unit and existing reference number help with clear identification. For tools, speed, feed rate, material and correct direction of rotation are also relevant for process reliability and machining quality.

Select professionally and avoid downtime

The right version supports clean results, repeatable processes and economical service life. Compare the technical data of the item with your machine and the existing component. If the assignment within vacuum clamping technology is not clear, send us the machine or part details. The Glade CNC-Technik team will support you in selecting a suitable solution for your specific application.
